• Rotary? Not according to Mazda

    Highlights are that Mazda is well aware of the 200hp desire for the MX-5, but it does not see that selling well enough anywhere outside the UK due to competition from BMW and others.

    Rotary? Not when you look at the new Sky-G offerings; they are apparently such a good fit for Mazda that they will be the mainstay in many of their new cars such as the MZR/Duratec was 2005 on.

    This doesn't mean that Mazda will be giving up on the rotary platform--just no current plans of putting it into a production vehicle.
